If you’ve heard of the international hit documentary Babies but haven’t had a chance to see it yet, you can for FREE tonight only at Empire Granville 7 Theatre at 855 Granville Street in downtown Vancouver.

The movie, from award-winning French filmmaker Thomas Balmès, follows four babies around the world—Ponijao in Namibia, Bayarjargal in Mongolia, Mari in Japan, and Hattie in the U.S.—from birth to their first steps, showing both the differences and the universals of being a baby.

The free screening is courtesy of Alliance Films and World Vision. Before the movie, World Vision will feature two short films about children in developing countries, followed by a guest speaker who will discuss the importance of education to children in the developing world. Then the audience will get to see Babies.

The FREE screening of Babies runs 7pm – 9pm at Empire Granville 7 Theatre, August 18, 2010. Seating is first-come, first-served.
