New for 2010: Jack O’Lantern’s Spooky Stroll for Kids at VanDusen Botanical Garden

Vancouverites with young children–ages 9 and under–are lucky to have several fun, age-appropriate options for celebrating Halloween—and giving the kids multiple chances to wear their costumes. There’s the famous Stanley Park Ghost Train, Halloween at the Vancouver Aquarium, and now—new for 2010—the Jack O’Lantern Spooky Stroll at VanDusen Botanical Garden.

Given VanDusen’s stellar track record in creating memorable holiday events (examples include the Festival of Lights at Christmastime and last year’s sold-out Easter Egg Hunt), this new Halloween “stroll” should be lots of fun!  At the Stroll, the Garden’s winding pathways will be lit by nearly 200 creepy, carved pumpkins, waiting to be discovered. There will also be storytelling at Jack O’Lantern’s House, with Anya Levykh, Editor of West Coast Families Magazine.

The VanDusen Botanical Garden Jack O’Lantern Spooky Stroll happens one night only, October 30, 5pm – 7pm. Ticket info available here.
