Urban Trick or Treat: Where to Trick or Treat in Vancouver

Halloween In Yaletown

The one thing all kids want to do on Halloween is trick or treat, but we don’t all live in the stereotypical suburban neighbourhoods that make door-to-door trick or treating easy and safe. If you don’t live in a neighbourhood where door-to-door trick or treating is feasible, Vancouver has lots of urban trick or treat options for kids and families.

All trick or treat events happen Sunday, October 31, 2010.

Yaletown: Trick or treat at over 55 businesses in Vancouver’s trendiest neighbourhood at the annual Halloween in Yaletown event. Runs from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. Download the Trick or Treat Route Map online or get one at the Roundhouse Community Centre.

Granville Island: Halloweenie at the Kids Market features indoor trick or treating at the Market shops, a magic show, and a free hot beverage and hot dog for all kids in costumes.

Malls: Many area malls offer free or by donation indoor trick or treating for kids 12 and under, including Oakridge Mall (accessible via the Canada Line) and Metropolis at Metrotown (accessible via SkyTrain).

Where will you be trick or treating this year?
