Meet and mingle with local artists, build your own art collection, have fun, and help support people living with life-threatening diseases at the 17th annual Art for Life Fine Art Auction next Saturday, November 13 at downtown Vancouver’s Five Sixty Club.

The Art for Life Fine Art Auction brings together over 90 fine art pieces donated by Vancouver’s top artists and galleries, including works from the famous South Granville galleries Bau-Xi Gallery and Ian Tan Gallery. The collection is valued at over $200,000 dollars, and proceeds from the sale go to the Vancouver-based charity Friends for Life, an organization that provides 1,800 life-affirming appointments each month to more than 1,700 members with life-threatening illness as well as support to their families and caregivers.

Even if the art up for auction is out of your price-range—the live auction pieces are expected to sell for between $2,500 – $15,000—the evening itself will be a treat for art lovers and anyone who would like to meet and mingle with Vancouver’s established and up-and-coming art stars. Sip complimentary wine and eat canapes prepared by Vancouver’s famous chef Louis Gervais (former executive chef of the Sutton Place Hotel) while hobnobbing with the live auction artists at the VIP reception, then dance the night away at Five Sixty’s exclusive Art For Life VIP Lounge.
