Get the jump on Spring/Summer 2012 fashion with the return of Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW), back for its 10th anniversary show November 1 – 6, 2011.

The West Coast’s most prestigious fashion industry event, Vancouver Fashion Week showcases both emerging and established designers, including local Vancouver designers, while focusing on diversity and creativity. Internationally-acclaimed Canadian designer Joseph Ribkoff will be the opening highlight of VFW’s Spring/Summer 2012 collections, followed by a roster of up-and-coming talent that includes designers from Canada, Poland, Mexico, Korea, Brazil, Germany, India, and Ireland.

Though VFW is most definitely an industry event—VFW’s shows are packed with designers, buyers, and fashion editors—it’s extremely accessible to consumers and fashion lovers of all types. Individual shows are just $25, or you can get a day pass for $75; if you love being in the forefront of fashion, that’s a small price to pay for the fun of seeing emerging designers and the latest fashions for Spring/Summer 2012 .

Find information about all of the VFW 2011 designers—and a complete schedule of events—at the Vancouver Fashion Week site.

And in the days leading up to Vancouver Fashion Week, check out their Facebook page, which is hosting their Vancouver Fashion Week street style lookbook: a photo spread capturing stylish Vancouverites a la The Sartorialist. (Take that lady who ranked Vancouver the “third-worst-dressed city” because of yoga pants!)
