500+ Students, Teachers & Parents Flashmob Aberdeen Centre Mall

On February 29, 500+ Richmond School District students, teachers and parents did an amazing flashmob at Aberdeen Centre to Usher’s “Without You.”

The flashmob was part of Pink Shirt Day, an anti-bullying campaign that saw students throughout the Lower Mainland (and across Canada) wearing pink t-shirts. Many, like the Richmond School District, created dance performances and uploaded them to YouTube as part of their support for Pink Shirt Day.

The Richmond School District’s video and performance is different from the Pink Project videos, which feature Lower Mainland students performing dances to Lady Gaga’s “Born this Way.” While the Pink Project/”Born this Way” videos focus on anti-homophobic bullying, the Richmond School District wanted its performance to take a broader approach, condemning bullying in all forms.

Personally, I am amazed—what an awesome job!
