Some Vancouverites train for marathons. Others train for the pinnacle of brewski events: Vancouver Craft Beer Week, May 18-26. This fitness regime involves reps with beer steins, gulp practice, blind taste tests and CAMRA Vancouver’s Kitsilano Cask Carouse, Saturday April 21.

The Kitsilano Cask Carouse features 4 stops at Kitsilano pubs noteworthy for their passion for locally-made craft beer. Beer lovers will have the chance to taste and compare notes with fellow beer lovers from 12-6pm.

What’s great beer without food? The world’s best chefs prefer craft beer to wine for food pairings. The Kitsilano Cask Carouse features appetizer pairings for each sleeve and, as an additional bonus, one craft beer expert will speak at each pub stop.

Find out more about the pubs, the casks, the food and the speakers after the jump.

About the pubs, beer, food & speakers

Each of the four stops on the Kitsilano Cask Carouse promises quality ale and entertainment. Highlights include the hearing from the new East Van brewery Parallel 49 on the challenges of launching a brewery, while sipping a Parallel 49 Imperial Wit.
