Featured Vancouverite: David Goodfellow

Hometown: Victoria, British Columbia

How long have you been a Vancouverite? Since I was 13.

Writer/Publisher at Bramblebutt Productions. I write and produce audiobooks set in Southwestern BC and the Pacific Northwest for young listeners. After more than twenty years working in stage lighting, I decided to capitalize on my theatre contacts and love of children’s books and formed a publishing company. Book one of our Raven Bramblebutt series is available on iTunes and Audible. Book one of our Theatre Gothic series will be released this fall.

Favourite Vancouver restaurant:
Szechuan Chongqing Seafood Restaurant on Commercial, also on Broadway in Kits. The spicy peanut wonton is my favourite food ever. I’ve been going back for this dish for fifteen years!

Top insider tip for visitors:
Make the short hike or snowshoe up to Dog Mountain on Seymour on a clear day to watch the sun rise or set on Vancouver from 1000 metres up.
