When the weather turns cloudy in Vancouver, the big name music acts start rolling into town.  From old school arena rockers to the hottest contemporary R&B, this fall’s lineup is packed with superstar concerts.

Here are five Vancouver concerts not to miss this fall:

Bon Jovi – Oct. 2 at Rogers Arena:  For many, the boys from New Jersey are still the undisputed kings of arena rock.  Formed in 1983, the band has undergone many transformations over the years, from hair-metal heroes to trendy pop rockers and everything in between.  One thing’s for sure: They know how to pump up a crowd.  Their current tour supports new album Because We Can and features ridiculously cheap, behind-the-stage nosebleed tickets starting at just $16.75.  Tickets.

Kanye West – Oct. 20 at Rogers ArenaThe outspoken, occasionally crude and always brilliant king of hip hop brings his eye-popping stage show to Vancouver in support of new album Yeezus.  For the last decade, 21-time Grammy Award winner West has been rewriting the book on hip hop, turning away from a gangster aesthetic in favour of a more soulful, complex sound.  Yeezus embraces a grittier, rougher style and has earned wide praise from critics and fans.  Tickets.

Pink – Oct. 21 at Rogers ArenaLove her or hate her, R&B-inspired pop vocalist Pink has stood the test of time.  Her breakout 2001 album Missundaztood defined her sound with catchy singles Get the Party Started, Don’t Let Me Get Me and Just Like a Pill.  Over the years, Pink and her unique, powerhouse voice have gone on to sell more than 100 million records and earn three Grammies.  She tours in support of her newest album, The Truth About Love, with its hit singles Blow Me One Last Kiss, Try and Just Give Me a Reason.  Tickets.

Beyonce – Nov. 30 at Rogers ArenaEver since Destiny’s Child, Beyonce Knowles has been packing arenas around the world with her powerful vocals and magnetic stage presence.  Singer, dancer, actress and wife to Jay-Z, she has put out a steady stream of radio hits over the last decade, from Crazy in Love to Beautiful Liar and Single Ladies, earning 17 Grammy Awards for her efforts.  Icon of female empowerment and sexuality, Beyonce comes to Rogers as part of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.  Tickets.

Pearl Jam – Dec. 4 at Rogers ArenaAlthough it’s been an amazing 22 years since their debut album Ten was released, Pearl Jam is still going strong.  The Seattle-based rockers helped define the grunge movement in the 1990s and have stayed true to their roots over the years, while also digging deeper into punk sounds.  Their latest album, Lightning Bolt, features the punk-inspired single Mind Your Manners and is sure to have the Rogers Arena crowd on their feet.  Tickets.
