It’s a run! It’s a party! It’s the 5K Dance Party ElectroDash!

From the people who brought you Color Me Rad comes another 5K run that puts all other 5K runs to shame. The 5K Dance Party ElectroDash is a 5K run happening on October 11th in Vancouver, which features: “five kilometers of lasers, glowing trees, dynamic graphic art, and all sorts of eye candy to keep you enchanted as your feet eat up the trail.”

You won’t even remember that you’re running when your senses are bombarded with inflatable lights, space tunnels, fog machines, blacklights, water works, dance music throughout the course, and a party at the end featuring a professional DJ.

This is the second-ever ElectroDash, which bills itself as a half-run, half-dance party. The race will take place October 11, 2013 at the Pacific National Exhibition (2901 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5K 5J1), and a portion of proceeds will go to benefit a charity who will be announced soon.

Entrance fees for the run include an official t-shirt, a pair of neon glow glasses, a glow in the dark tattoo, an LED bracelet, and the best time you could probably have running 5K.

The lasers fire up at 7pm on October 11th, so make sure you’re waiting in line to experience your first “running dance party”. You can register for the event here.
