Vancouver’s simultaneous dinner party, #dinnerpartyYVR, is back with thirty new home cooked meals. On April 5th, thirty Vancouverites will open their homes and cook a meal for guests to support their favourite charity. For $40, diners can pick a dinner party to attend, with 100% of their ticket fee gifted back to charity. Twenty-six different local and Canadian charities will benefit from hosts opening their homes to guests. The previous #dinnerpartyYVR raised over $4500 for twenty-four charities.

The dinner parties are hosted by local hobby chefs and range from four to eight guests. After the meal is finished, diners and chefs from all thirty meals will come together for the after party. Hosted by presenting partner Cressey, the after party will take place at their Meccanica presentation centre. Featuring two fully set-up show suites, the space will feel just like home. The after party will bring all two hundred guests, hobby chefs, partners, and participating charities to socialize and share their dinner party stories. The good food will continue on at the after party with GLOW Spot Raw Chocolates, Cartems Donuts, Granville Island beer, and Serendipity wines. In addition, the after party will feature entertainment, Pixelbooth photo printing of your #dinnerpartyYVR tagged photos, and a few more surprises.

So if you missed your chance to enjoy a home cooked meal the last time around, join #dinnerpartyYVR for their second instalment of the simultaneous dinner party. Taking place on Saturday, April 5th at 6pm, meals cost $40 and include entry to the after party. As all proceeds go towards charity, it’s a wonderful way to support a great cause while enjoying some delicious food.
