If you’re looking for a fun day trip close to home, it’s time to hop into the car and head out to the outskirts of town for an afternoon of getting lost and having fun.

Corn mazes are a great, Fall tradition that have been around for years — confusing and scaring children and adults alike. And no, you can’t eat your way out! These mazes are amazing works of art, and while you can’t appreciate the full design from the ground, these complex mazes can challenge your navigational skills as you make your way through kilometres of corn.

Maan Farms

Along with the traditional corn maze (that seems spooky even in the daytime) and pumpkin patch, Maan Farms (located in Abbotsford) is getting a little spookier by offering two nighttime corn maze options:

1. Flash Light Corn Maze

Maan Farms is well known for their awesome family-friendly activities that include fruit-picking in the summer and maze-ing in the fall. This month, Maan Farms is hosting a Flash Light Corn Maze (non-haunted and suitable for all ages). Navigate through the tall corn and complete 3 activities all while finding your way out. This family suitable maze takes approximately 20 -30 minutes to complete, of course this depends on your sense of direction.

Hours: Open from 7pm until 10pm from October 9th-31st.
Cost: $14 for admission (includes flash light maze & moonlight wagon ride) $2 off for groups of 15 or more.

2. Haunted Zombie Corn Maze

This year, Maan Farms is also offering a Haunted Zombie Corn Maze! In the dark of night, there is no telling what awaits you, take a deep breath and step into our nest, but be warned NOTHING is what it seems when you’re heart is racing and are running away from hungry zombies!

Hours: Open from 8pm until 10pm from October 9th-31st
Admission: $18 (includes zombie maze & moonlight wagon ride) $2 off for groups of 15 or more.

Location: 790 McKenzie Road, Abbotsford. From Vancouver, head east on Highway #1 and take Exit 90 and then take the 2nd roundabout exit onto McCallum Road south. Turn left once you reach Vye Road and then take the first right onto McKenzie Road and you’re there.
