It’s going to be a food truck frenzy this summer when Vancouver’s biggest celebration of street food returns on June 28th for the 4th Annual Vancouver Food Cart Fest. This year the festival has expanded to include more than just food! (Although there will still be TONS of food as well).

For 2015, Vancouver’s largest gathering of street food will also include more food trucks and expanded entertainment programming that includes a live-music patio and a giant ping pong area. The Vancouver Food Cart Fest is launching on June 28th and will run for 11 consecutive sundays until September 6th at the Olympic Village.

Last year, around 5,000 people swarmed to Olympic Village every Sunday in the summer to fill their bellies with some of the delicious cuisine coming from the street food scene.

Starting on June 28th, the Vancouver Food Cart Fest will also be featuring a new addition to the festival with the ‘Sunday Local’, which will be operating adjacent to the festival. This 400-person capacity, licensed live-music patio will feature local acoustic talent on stage and showcase the best craft beer and wine the province has to offer. Performers will be announced by Food Cart Fest on social media.

Other activities will include a giant ping pong area for casual play and tournaments, an expanded kids recreation zone, an open-air market produced by Eastside Flea and Blim, as well as music played by local favourites The Rad Pack DJs.

Aside from all the activities, the Vancouver Food Cart Fest will feature more than 20 trucks at each event. Many of these trucks will be launching new summer menus with local ingredients sourced from Vancouver farmers. Are you ready for the list of participating food trucks? It’s a big one and includes…
