And now for something completely different… If you thought going to the symphony was a bit on the boring side, we’ve got some exciting news for you. On Wednesday, July 22, 2015 theme music from the popular Pokemon TV show and video game series will be performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Vancouver.

Part innovative musical, part memories from your childhood… The “Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions” is a live, musical performance that pairs a full orchestra with carefully timed visuals from the Pokemon franchise.

Always wondered what “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” would sound like with less electronic beats and more stringed instruments? This is the event for you. Even if you’re not a fan of Pokemon, this symphony is a great introduction into the world of symphonic sounds.

The Pokemon Symphony is a touring act that is travelling to 33 cities this summer in North America. With only 3 Canadian stops on the tour, we are very lucky in Vancouver to get to experience Pokemon music like never before.
