Chocolate fans in Vancouver are in for a sweet surprise over the next ten days thanks to renowned chocolatier Thomas Haas who’ll be celebrating his tenth anniversary in the city in style. Over ‘Ten Delicious Days of Giveaways’ Haas will be hiding 250 tickets across the city which contain vouchers ranging from $10 to $100 for Thomas Haas confections at either of his North Vancouver or Kitsilano cafés. As a bonus, each voucher will also allow the lucky finder a chance to be entered in a draw for a trip to two to the chocolate capital of the world, Brussels in Belgium.

“It’s been 20 years since I came to Vancouver and a decade since my wife Lisa and I launched our first flagship café,” says Haas. “We want to thank our fans in a fun and exciting way that not only gives people a chance to win great prizes but also celebrates the city I have come to call home.”

Starting today, for the next ten days Haas will visit a different neighbourhood in the city to hide envelopes. Check social media for clues and follow the hunt online. The 10 Delicious Days of Giveaways ends with a special Customer Appreciation Day at Haas’ North Vancouver location (998 Harbourside Dr.) on Sat. Nov. 28 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with all-ages entertainment and plenty of delicious complimentary treats.

To mark the anniversary of one of the city’s favourite chocolate makers, Haas has created a  collection of 10th Anniversary Chocolate Bars with a different flavour introduced each month, with the Hazelnut and Cocoa Nibs bar launching today. If you don’t manage to find an envelope, you can still gain entry into the grand prize contest by taking a photo of Thomas Haas’ exclusive 10th Anniversary Chocolate Bar and sharing it on Instagram, tagging @thaaschocolates and the hashtag #THAASx10. Full contest details, rules and regulations are online.
