Downtown Jazz kicks off the opening weekend of the TD Vancouver International Jazz Fest featuring 29 ensembles on 3 stages.
The widely beloved Downtown Jazz Weekend is back at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza June 25 & 26 as a part of the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival. Each stage at this completely free event showcases unique entertainment: The Sounds of Youth stage features 10 student ensembles including the Sarah McLachlan School of Music Jazz Ensemble; the Georgia Street stage features big bands, local artists including James Danderfer and Dawn Pemberton, Busty and the Bass with full choir, and Belgium’s Flat Earth Society; the Robson Street stage features 5 acts daily including Longhand, Andre Leroux and Elkhorn.
