Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) has announced details for its 29th consecutive season. The autumn/winter 2017 season will take place from March 20 – 26 in Vancouver.
Presenting a range of national and international designers, VFW has established a global platform, while also maintaining its support for local talent. The shows will be held at the David Lam Hall in downtown Vancouver, where it will open its doors to designers, media, buyers and agents to explore and discover seven days of ready-to-wear from around the globe.
The upcoming VFW autumn/winter 2017 season will begin with the Opening Gala, attended by designers, celebrities, VIPS and industry stalwarts on the night of March 20th. Guests will be treated to a night of sensory indulgence that will include music, performances, and a sneak preview of the designer collections. The line-up of hand-picked talent from across Canada, and around the world, will showcase their designs over the next seven days. Returning designers include, Katherine Tessier (Canada) and Tieler James (USA) will grace the runway amongst firsttime showers, including Hattitude by Christina LIichy (Denmark) and Wildfraulein 71 BY Roop Shimura (Japan).
Founded by producer, Jamal Abdourahman in 2001, VFW is lauded worldwide as the fastest growing fashion week and the only industry event that actively seeks to showcase international award-winning talent alongside its homegrown designers.
