If you’re looking for something to do on St. Paddy’s Day and don’t want to brave the busy Irish pubs, Vancouver TheatreSports has a fun and hilarious alternative this March 17, 2018.
Expect leprechauns galore, Celtic spirit, and of-the-moment Irish jokes.
On March 17, 2018, in three separate shows (7:30pm and 9:30pm are Classic Improv; 11:15pm is a Celtic version of Ok Tinder), Vancouver TheatreSports League (1502 Duranleau Street) will be celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day.
Shamrocks & Shenanigans centres around all things Irish. You can expect improvised scenes based on your audience suggestions, with potential gags about Irish expressions (“acting like a maggot” – behaving like an idiot), exaggerated Irish accents, and Celtic symbols.
Celtic Colleen will craft witty custom limericks for attendees while roving leprechauns will charm you with their humour and pots of good luck.
The 11:15pm OK Tinder show, made Irish, will be particularly side-splitting and side swiping. After all, Tinder is ludicrous enough without adding in four leaf clovers and Irish emoji flirting.
Before the show and during intermission, the Neil Macrae Bar & Lounge will have Guinness specials, green beer on draft, and shots of Jameson Irish Whiskey ($6.75 each) that you can enjoy in the lounge or in the theatre during the show.

Also upcoming is VTSL’s Murder on the Improv Express – A Killer Comedy that will run April 12 to May 26, 2018, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm.
The show draws upon classic whodunnit mysteries set in the 1930s, in this case on an atmospheric train passing through the Canadian Rockies. The suspects include a retired military officer and a socialite that each have a motive in the killing. You the audience must aid in determining (Clue game-esque) the identity of the murderer and the victim, as well as how the murder was committed. The convoluted and cleverly funny twists and turns of the murder plot will unfold in improvised scenes that will incorporate the audience’s murderous suggestions.
