Discover the French side of Vancouver at the Bastille Day Festival in Yaletown

For Bastille Day this weekend, Vancouver is having a little rendez-vous with France! For its fourth edition, the non-profit association “Bastille Day Festival Society” is hosting a gathering of fun activities and entertainment to celebrate France’s National Day.

The Bastille Day Festival will bring a French flair to Vancouver while encouraging everyone to celebrate the French ‘art de vivre.’ Taking place on Saturday, July 14th at 10:00 at the Yaletown Roundhouse Community Centre, this free festival will include food tastings, concerts, live painting performances and more.

You’ll get a taste of France at the French Market, which will serve diverse food and drinks curated by local French businesses. Your tastesbuds will be fully satisfied with crepes, croque-monsieurs, cheese platters and of course French wine and beer.

As the main theme of the festival is ‘art de vivre,’ the festival will also feature a live painting performance that will allow guests to unleash their inner artist and explore their creativity. Event attendees will get a chance to work together to create a masterpiece for the community and children will also have the opportunity to create inspiring French creations at the Kids Corner.

But that’s not all! While enjoying the tastes and art of France, you’ll also get to experience the French musical scene from 12PM to 8PM. Featuring 5 talented local performances with French backgrounds, these live music sets will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the French culture!
