Apple Reveals First Look at #FilmedInVancouver Fantasy Series “See”

In a tantalizing preview of its new streaming service, Apple shared long-awaited teasers of the star-studded shows awaiting viewers – including See, a futuristic fantasy starring Jason Momoa that was filmed in Vancouver and surrounding region.

In addition to distributing a preview trailer, Apple held a grand unveiling event earlier this week to share news of the original content it will be pushing on Apple+ TV. Presenters included Jennifer Aniston, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and other Hollywood talent who have contributed to the new service. Among these were Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard, who took to the stage to reveal details about their epic show.

If you haven’t yet seen the buzz, See is set in a future where everyone has lost their sense of sight; so, over many generations, society has been rebuilt to accommodate the blind. Understandably, things are shaken up when a pair of twins is born with the ability to see.

Details about the show have been kept firmly under wraps, but Momoa has made no secret about the grand time he’s been having in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island while filming (check out this social media post of Momoa hanging out with Vancouver Canucks mascot Fin the Whale). With See directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games) and written by Stephen Knight (Peaky Blinders), all signs point to a binge-worthy epic – all the more reason for us to keep a close watch on Apple+ TV.

See isn’t the only Vancouver-filmed production we can’t wait to binge. Check out what else we’re looking forward to this year – and stay tuned for updates!
