Hardy swims!
Hardy, the fuzzy-faced sea otter pup that has won hearts around the world, continues to grow bigger and stronger. The little rescued otter now spends most of his day away from his nursery and in the large sea otter habitat where Vancouver Aquarium visitors can watch him practice his swimming and diving.

Vancouver Aquarium, an Ocean Wise initiative, invites locals and visitors alike to discover the incredible and diverse habitats and animals found below the water’s surface, making the most of these long summer nights and weekends. For the first time ever, Vancouver Aquarium is offering extended hours into the evening. Each Wednesday during the month of August, the Aquarium will keep its doors open for ocean lovers of all ages to explore the Aquarium’s 50,000+ aquatic creatures.

Come nose to snout with Steller sea lions at Steller’s Bay, a new exhibit that spotlights these majestic and mysterious creatures, starting July 1 only at Vancouver Aquarium. Transported to a fishing village on Canada’s west coast, visitors will delight as they experience sea lions basking brilliantly in the sun and hear them roaring in spectacular chorus. Below the surface stands huge underwater viewing windows where visitors will be immersed in a sea lion’s world, getting up-close as the dynamic animals glide through the water with incredible power and agility.
