A ginormous slew of TV series, which wrapped up last year or earlier this year, are now heading back to town to start filming their next season.

There’s everything in the mix that you can think of: dramas, sci-fi, superheroes, and more.

As if that’s not enough, two feature film productions are getting underway today as we speak.

Filming in Vancouver: Stars align for 2017 Vancouver International Film Festival

Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson and Vancouver International Film Festival executive director Jacqueline Dupuis helped open the 36th edition of VIFF.

As with previous years, the Vancouver International Film Festival has brought a bevy of filmmakers and stars to the city, to converge upon a cinematic smorgasbord.

The whole shebang kicked off back on September 28 with a spotlight on truly homegrown project.

Filming in Vancouver: Once Upon a Time, Riverdale, and Whitecaps play soccer, plus X-Files, Ice, and more

Riverdale’s Charles Melton and K.J. Apa had some kicks playing with the Vancouver Whitecaps in a charity match at B.C. Place.

In this week’s roundup of what’s going on in Hollywood North crime-drama TV series is wrapping up this week.

But a whole bevy of TV stars in town turned out in full force on the soccer pitch to raise funds for charity. And a celebrity immersed himself in a hilarious local landmark.
