Vancouver Folk Music Festival – July 15 – 17, 2011

Named one of the ten best outdoor concerts in North America by USA Today, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival is one of the highlights of the summer music season. This three-day festival at Jericho Beach Park features an eclectic range of folk and roots music performed on eight outdoor stages, all overlooking the picture-perfect vistas of downtown Vancouver and the North Shore mountains.

Vancouver Folk Music Festival Offers Good Beats and Good Eats

Vancouver Folk Music Festival

July 16 to 18

The Vancouver Folk Music Festival characterizes the laid-back attitude and style of the West Coast. Now in its 33rd year, the “Folk Fest” brings together some of the finest folk and roots musicians from around the world to Jericho Beach – a stunning outdoor venue overlooking English Bay and the North Shore mountains.

This year’s line up includes the likes of Sarah Harmer, Calexico, Jim Byrnes, Colin Hay, Peatbog Faeries and Valdy. And festival-goers needn’t pack a picnic because the on-site food is finger-lickin’. In past years, options have included a host of favourite local vendors offering everything from fish tacos to Thai food. Adult full weekend passes (three nights, two full days) cost $160, while single tickets to evening concerts start at $55 (for Friday night). Early bird tickets are priced even better and are on sale now until June 11.
