Filming in Vancouver: Harry and Meghan, Frankenstein, Motherland, and The Turning

Hey, is that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? No, it’s Tiffany Marie Smith and Charlie Field in Harry and Meghan: Becoming Royal.

While last week was full of comings and goings, and although this week is a little calmer, there’s still plenty going on to chat about–with quite the cast of characters.

Although the Charmed reboot has been filming here, there’s a very different kind of witch-based TV series that’ll be coming to shoot in town.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—or rather, the TV movie about them—will call it a wrap.

Elsewhere in the city, Frankenstein becomes a detective in a new adaptation of the classic tale.

And a horror feature will be zipping in to shoot only for a few days.

Weird Frankenstein-Shaped Pumpkins on Sale in Vancouver

Have $79.13 and want to get yourself a really cool pumpkin for Halloween?

Vancouver’s Urban Fare grocery stores are selling what may be the world’s creepiest (and most expensive) pumpkins.  Known as Pumpkinsteins, they’re actual pumpkins that have been grown to look like an orange Frankenstein head.

And I’m not just talking about a passing resemblance.  These pumpkins have eyebrows and noses and lips and a receding hairline and ears … basically everything except the two bolts that stick out of Frankenstein’s neck.  It’s like Frankenstein got stuck inside a pumpkin and is trying to burst out from inside.
