Science World is one of Vancouver’s most popular family destinations. Kids of all ages (up to 102!) can experience all sorts of educational and fun activities, such as playing arcade-style games to learn about human life sciences, viewing a live performance at the Peter Brown Family Centre Stage, and hanging out with some wild and crazy reptiles in the Extreme Dinosaur Gallery.

December 9th– 24th, 2011 Join The Vancouver Trolley Company and sing your favourite holiday carols while visiting two of Vancouver’s most spectacular light displays. Festively decorated Trolleys equipped with karaoke machines for your seasonal singing enjoyment will depart from the Vancouver Christmas Market on Hamilton Street (Queen Elizabeth Theatre) at 6:30PM.

The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, the first of its kind outside of China, is an authentic representation of an age – old garden tradition which reached its peak in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The Garden is characteristic of the private spaces within a Ming scholar’s residence. With its asymmetrical arrangement of rocks and plants, its winding paths and corridors, and the vistas that overlook its courtyards, the Garden emulates the rhythms of nature.

Featured Attraction of the Week: Harbour Cruises (Free Tickets!)

The Carol Ships ‘Parade of Lights’ began over 50 years ago with just one boat decorated with Christmas lights in Coal Harbour. Harbour Cruises is proud to continue this tradition with their decorated vessels throughout the winter season.

The Parade is a flotilla of brightly coloured vessels, lit up on the outside and decorated in their Christmas best on the inside. This holiday tradition features a combination of decorated private and public vessels. This is the only time of year that vessels are allowed to display coloured exterior lighting.
