Craving an epic workout and missing the Grouse Grind? Vancouver’s annual Urban Grind is coming back this March for another year of burning leg muscles!

The Urban Grind is a popular weekly event hosted every Tuesday in March at Vancouver’s Harbour Centre. It boasts a 633-step climb that takes participants to the top of the tower for amazing views over the city.

Hoping to get your butt into shape before the fast approaching summer season? The annual Urban Grind is happening again this March, giving you the change to climb the Harbour Centre stairs to the iconic Vancouver Lookout observation deck.

It’s one heck of a workout and you can do it rain or shine! The Urban Grind will take place between 4:30 – 6:30pm every Tuesday in March (6, 13, 20 & 27) and will include entertainment and a free beer!

This March, the Harbour Centre is inviting everyone to get their heart rates up and their calf muscles burning by climbing the Urban Grind – the stairs to the top of the iconic Vancouver lookout. With the Grouse Grind closed for winter, this is the perfect opportunity to get a similar workout without the hassle of walking through nature.

On March 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29th, the 553-foot-tall Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver will open up its 40 flights of stairs to fitness buffs to get some amazing exercise with an added reward…

Grouse Grind Closed? Try the New “Urban Grind” inside the Stairwell of the 553-Foot Harbour Centre

The Grouse Grind may be Vancouver’s most famous (and gruelling) hike. The steep, 2.9-kilometre trail up the face of Grouse Mountain has a total of 2,830 steps, earning it the nickname Mother Nature’s Stairmaster. Each year, 150,000 people make the ascent.

But during winter – when the trail is often closed due to weather conditions – all those “Grouse Grinders” are generally out of luck, with no place to blast their quads and gluts. Except this year.
