Robson Square Ice Rink opens for 2016 season of free ice skating

Need a date night idea this holiday season? Or, maybe a way to keep your kids busy for a couple of hours? Robson Square’s outdoor skating rink will be opening for the season on Thursday, December 1, 2016 and will remain open until February 14, 2017.

Taking turns around the ice rink has become a favourite Vancouver winter tradition, which is best enjoyed with friends, family and loved ones. The rink is open from morning to late at night and is a magical place to enjoy the holidays. Best of all, if you have your own skates, it’s free!

Park Royal hosts free Spring Skate, today – March 18

Keep your ice skates out, Vancouverites. Cherry blossoms are starting to appear and Robson Square’s winter ice rink has closed for the season, but there’s a new, free, family-friendly skate option in town: the Spring Skate rink at Park Royal March 9 – 18.

In order to host this slick March Break activity, Park Royal added 4,000 sq. ft. of synthetic “ice” to the outdoor area behind Osaka and Staples, overlooking the Spirit Trail and the ocean. For a full round up of the top ten Spring Break activities for kids, check out Dana’s post here.
