Dance, Drag and Art Outside! It’s Vancouver’s Pride Premiere

This year’s Pride Premiere event, hosted by the Vancouver Pride Society, will be held at Šxʷƛənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (850 W Georgia Street, the North side of the Vancouver Art Gallery). Coming up on Friday, July 26th and running for seven hours from 5 PM onwards, there will be dancing, a beer garden, drag performances, food trucks, community resources and more.

It’s the 50th anniversary of Stonewall this year, and you bet we’ll be celebrating the strides the LGBTQ2IA communities have made with events across Vancouver all season. Premiering March 5, the show’s narrative follows Nina and Gaby as their passionate coupledom develops.

The Growing Room Festival was founded in 2017 by Room Magazine and every March since it has brought Canadian authors and artists together to converse, educate and collaborate as they discuss feminism in all its intersectional glory. Most panels and readings are pay-what-you-can to ensure accessibility, and writing workshops and one-on-one manuscript consultations are offered.
