The weekly market is held from Friday to Sunday nights (and on holidays) and attracts huge crowds; typically around 30,000 visitors check out the market each night. There are night markets in Richmond, Surrey, and in North Vancouver, but downtown Vancouver has been lacking the night market atmosphere that disappeared after the Chinatown Night Market closed down.

Luckily, the organizers of the Friday Night Shipyards Market in North Vancouver have banded together to introduce an exciting new Saturday night market & concert series to be located at the Plaza of Nations every Saturday night from 5 – 10pm starting June 20, 2015 and running until September 12, 2015.
