True, pre-Christmas sales have been building steam for the last few years, but nothing beats Boxing Day price slashing. Sales start Dec. 26, one of the most frenzied shopping days of the year, and continue through the end of the week.

For many, the day after Christmas is about squeezing in one more Scrabble victory against your little brother, or catching a family movie. For others, Christmas presents are just an amuse bouche before the main shopping meal Dec. 26.

This year, with many Boxing Day sales starting early on the web, having family time while taking advantage of bargains is a real option. Read on to get scoop on the Vancouver web and in-store deals. Continue reading:

Versace for H&M Launches Exclusively at the Pacific Centre Nov. 19

Versace is the latest couture house to collaborate with H&M on an exclusive designer collection, following the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Lanvin. The Versace for H&M collection launches Saturday, Nov. 19, in only one West Coast Canadian location: The Pacific Centre H&M.

Although typically fashionistas sleep until noon when their bichon brings them breakfast cupcakes, an H&M designer collaboration is one event that will pull them out of bed early. You’ll have to get in line if you want to get the goods. At the Versace for H&M launch in London Nov. 17, the entire stock was gone in minutes.

Find out more about the Versace for H&M look and prices after the jump.

Fall/Winter fashion; Image: H&M

Attention mall rats: a 25,000 sq. ft. H&M recently opened doors in Metropolis at Metrotown occupying what used to be about a dozen separate retail spaces. I indulged in a little Canada Line shopping crawl recently, starting out in Richmond and working my way into Vancouver via the SkyTrain.   I’ve highlighted my stops below, but this is certainly not the only possible itinerary.  If you’ve got a favourite Canada Line shopping crawl, please share your ideas by leaving a comment. Here’s how my trip played out:
