Playland at the PNE opens for the season on May 5, 2018

With night markets and spring farmers markets opening up in May, it’s no surprise that the iconic Playland at the PNE will be opening its gates this weekend as well to kick off the spring season!

The oldest amusement park in Canada will officially open for the 2018 season on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10am. The opening day is a sure sign of another fun of summer full of foot long hot dogs, roller coaster rides, and endless mini donuts.

Playland will only be open on the weekends in Vancouver until late June, when it will stay open all week long. This year, Playland will boast over 35 thrilling rides, delicious carnival food, and addictive arcade games.

Billboard’s #1 hip-hop act headlines inaugural outdoor festival in Vancouver

Migos, which has become the fifth hip-hop act with more than two #1 albums, headlines a new music festival in Vancouver in June.

Migos and Tory Lanez top a bill that includes some of today’s hottest hip-hop artists at this spring’s Breakout Festival. The inaugural edition takes place June 9 and 10 at the PNE Amphitheatre.

The outdoor hip-hop and R&B event also features 6lack, Lil Pump, A-Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Ski Mask the Slump God, Ybn Nahmir, Kodie Shane, Pressa, Wondagurl, Brevner, Manila Grey, Illyminiachi, Mcevoy Withinroots, Acdatyoungn****, Daamcp, and 2hunnit. Below is a look at some of the artists.

The PNE opened up its gates for the festival of the summer this weekend, and we’ve already been treated to a few days of fun. One of the highlights of the PNE has got to be the free summer concerts that are held every night at 8:30pm.

It’s a unique venue and a unique opportunity to watch some of your favourite bands perform for free with fair gate admission ($17 at the gate or $13 online)! Without having to pay the cost of a concert ticket, you’ll have even more extra cash on hand to buy a couple extra bags of delicious mini donuts!

The quintessential festival of the summer is kicking off this summer when The Fair at the PNE opens its gates for the 2016 season on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Running for two weeks until Monday, September 5 (Labour Day), the PNE offers up an amazing plethora of free concerts, mini donuts, super dogs, and lots of deep-fried delectable treats.

Entry into the Fair at the PNE will only cost you $17 at the gate (or $13 online), but this year the PNE has announced an abundance of options to get in the gates for free.
