Get Your Fill of Fall Comfort Food at Yew’s American Thanksgiving Dinner, Nov. 22

Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone, but American Thanksgiving goes down this Thursday, Nov. 22. For Canadians in need of a second helping of turkey, or American expats short on time, swanky Yew Restaurant + Bar perched at treetop level in the downtown Four Seasons Vancouver Hotel has an enticing American Thanksgiving menu.

On Nov. 22, Yew restaurant will serve a fancy, 3-course Thanksgiving Dinner for $45 per head. As a new mom who’s been planning on baking a pumpkin cake for two weeks now, and still hasn’t gotten around to it, the menu is really appealing. My inner Martha Stewart is, as Yew suggests, taking a break this year.

The menu features enhanced classics like slow cooked turkey breast, stuffing, brussels sprouts, maple cranberries and buttermilk mashed potatoes. Turkey dinner seconds are only $10 more. And for those who aren’t into the bird, Yew is also serving arctic char with potato hash and balsamic mushrooms (pictured above). Perhaps the desserts (pumpkin pie with Nutella ice cream and salted caramel popcorn, for example) are the real draw.
