Autumn dining in Vancouver goes well beyond sipping on pumpkin spice lattes; rather, fall eating and drinking is about a shift in the palate toward deeper, more robust flavours and the celebration of harvested local ingredients. At this time of year, the farmers markets showcase an array of produce, like beets, squashes, Brussels sprouts, and apples, which also creatively appear on the menus of restaurants across the city.

Dine Out Vancouver at The Newly Launched Victor at Parq Vancouver

Dine Out Vancouver (DOV), my favourite eating festival of the year, launches tomorrow, running until February 4, 2018.

This year, over 300 restaurants are taking part, offering sumptuous prix-fixe menus (ranging from $20 to $40). There are also a ton of different food and drink-themed events to get excited about, like the Hidden Gem Dim Sum Tour, Olympic Village Food Tour, and Spirited Masterclass – Bitters 101. The sooner you book though, the better, since many events and restaurants are getting close to capacity.

I got the chance recently to preview the DOV menu at the newly launched Victor in Parq Vancouver. It’s well worth making a reservation for before DOV comes to a close.
