Pucker Up! #VanKiss Mistletoe is Back in Vancouver

Feeling more romantic than usual? It may be due to the mysterious mistletoe that has been popping up in various locations around Vancouver thanks to a anonymous artist collective group known as #VanKiss.

What started as a small effort of ten red sign posts with bushels of mistletoe hanging from them has blossomed into a local Christmas tradition. This year, there are more locations than ever to get your PDA on with around 40 sign posts being put up across Vancouver.

Movies in the Morgue is a monthly event that happens on the second Tuesday of every month right in the heart of downtown at the old Vancouver city morgue.

Accordion Lovers and Haters Unite for a Fun-Filled Four Day Festival Celebrating the Squeeze Box

Turns out, accordions are much more than just an annoying instrument used for polka. In fact, the Accordion Noir group argues that it is one of the most underrated instruments in North America. Just give it a chance, why dontcha!?

Since 2008, Accordion Noir has been running a festival to build interest in accordion music by throwing a fun, wild and unique musical event that attracts people from all walks of life. Lovers, haters, and those who haven’t formed any opinion whatsoever towards the accordion are invited to celebrate the instrument affectionately known as the squeeze box.

The Accordion Noir Festival is coming back from September 10 – 13 for its 8th annual year with a mix of cabaret, kitchen parties, and – of course – accordion performances.
