Every ticket purchased will help provide a future of the not-for-profit Vancouver Aquarium, which continues to face bankruptcy as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and three-month closure.

Whitecaps FC Rally Vancouver to Help Save the Vancouver Aquarium

Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Vancouver Aquarium have joined forces to sell high-performance athletic face masks, with all net proceeds to benefit the aquarium during this critical period of need for the beloved civic landmark. As part of this partnership, more than 25 ‘Caps staff members are volunteering in the rescue effort, providing hundreds of labour hours in vital outreach efforts to Vancouver Aquarium members, donors, and supporters.

Vancouver Aquarium Hosts Launch for Children’s Book Starring Rialto the Otter

Rialto the Otter has a truly inspiring and heart-wrenching story. Three years ago, the tiny pup was discovered injured and alone on the shores of remote Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park. After he was rehabilitated at the Seattle Aquarium – capturing hearts around the world in the process – Rialto was moved North where he found a permanent home at the Vancouver Aquarium. The otter’s journey was captured by reporter Lynda Mapes and photographer Alan Berner, who have now transformed their notes into Rescuing Rialto, a children’s book that dives into the world of otters and explores conservation efforts surrounding this essential species.
