Vancouver Craft Beer Week Returns with over 100 Breweries and 300 Beers and Ciders

There was a time when the term “craft beer” barely existed in Vancouver’s drinking vocabulary. However, over the last decade, the craft beer scene has proliferated to such an extent that the city has become an imbibing destination.

300+ Beers On Tap for the 8th Annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW 2017)

Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2017

Cheers! Vancouver Craft Beer Week

From May 26, 2017 – June 4, 2017 it’s a celebration of suds! Craft Beer Week kicks off this Friday – the largest craft beer celebration in Canada with over 15,000 attendees getting together to knock back some cold ones in the summer sun.

The festival is so big that it couldn’t even be contained to one week. The 10-day festival is full of live entertainment, community events, and – oh yeah – lots and lots of beer! There are also tap takeovers, block parties, crawfish boils, and a whole lot more.

The festival culminates at the signature VCBW Festival on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the PNE Fairgrounds (2901 E Hastings Street) when 100 craft breweries and cideries will come together to pour 300+ beer and ciders for eagerly awaiting craft beer aficionados.

Who doesn’t like a good ugly sweater? What’s even better–a whole room full of people dressed in red-and-green woollies. Add in free-flowing craft beer, and well, that’s a party.

Notice that the word “Christmas” isn’t part of this equation. The organizers of Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) recognize that ugly sweaters know no religious boundaries. Hence, they’ve named their upcoming event A Very VCBW Non-Denominational Holiday Beer Festival.

It takes place on December 5 at Studio East (1480 Frances Street) , and it promises to be much more fun than knitting alone at home.
