633 More Steps to Go… The 2017 Urban Grind Comes Back to the Vancouver Lookout

During the winter season it can be hard to stay in shape when your couch looks so inviting and your sweatpants feel so comfortable. It’s dark, cold, there’s snow on the trails… Millions of excuses not to get out and get in shape! However, the Vancouver Lookout at the Harbour Centre is bringing back a fun excuse to exercise starting in March with their Urban Grind series.

Similar to the infamous Grouse Grind, this Urban Grind features steps – lots and lots of steps! Actually 633 steps in total, to be exact. For this grind, you’ll be tackling 28 flights of stairs, but it’s worth it for what’s waiting at the top!

The Grouse Grind Opens for the 2016 Season this Saturday

If you’re wondering how to get beach body ready fast, you’re in luck – because the Grouse Grind is opening up this weekend for the 2016 hiking season on Saturday, April 30 from 6:15am until 7pm.

Metro Vancouver has been busy making repairs to the trail and have announced that it is finally ready to be tackled. The Grouse Grind is an iconic hiking trail in North Vancouver that is more of a stairmaster and less of a walk in the park. Get your legs warmed up, because it’s time to get sweaty!

Tackle the Urban Grind this March in Vancouver

Want to get really, really strong leg muscles? Looking for an excuse to exercise in the city with a unique activity that ends with an excellent view of Downtown? You’re in luck!

This March, the Harbour Centre is inviting everyone to get their heart rates up and their calf muscles burning by climbing the Urban Grind – the stairs to the top of the iconic Vancouver lookout. With the Grouse Grind closed for winter, this is the perfect opportunity to get a similar workout without the hassle of walking through nature.

On March 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29th, the 553-foot-tall Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver will open up its 40 flights of stairs to fitness buffs to get some amazing exercise with an added reward…
