Kids In Vancouver: Make A Big Splash At Tsawwassen’s Brand New Water Slide Park

Last Summer, we said goodbye to Splashdown Park – Greater Vancouver’s only water slide park and an iconic Summer staple, frequented by kids in Vancouver (and visitors) since 1989 when Splashdown first opened its doors.

On June 12th, a new and improved water park will open its doors, and it promises to be bigger and better than its predecessor. Executive Hotels & Resorts has since acquired the property, and has rebranded the 7-acre park as Big Splash Water Slide Park! Here’s what you can expect from this new Summer hot spot.

Kids In Vancouver: Whoosh Down The Waterslides At Splashdown

Fond memories swirl in the minds of local parents who visit Splashdown Park with their kids this Summer. Watching as their little splashers whoosh down the winding watersides and twirl in tubes down the River Run, nostalgic flashbacks of early childhood days flood their thoughts.

Since 1983, Splashdown Waterpark has been a local Summer staple, epitomizing childhood fun for kids and parents alike. Unfortunately, after 33 years, Greater Vancouver’s favourite (and only) waterslide park will be closing its doors permanently at the end of this Summer.
