After Hours at the Vancouver Aquarium, March 10

after-hours

Love is in the air, and underwater, at the upcoming adults-only After Hours at the Vancouver Aquarium on March 10. This one is all about the secret sex lives of animals, so you can expect to learn everything you need to know about the unique mating habits of marine life at this one-of-a-kind event.

The Vancouver Aquarium is truly a magical place to be at night. Grab a beer or glass of wine and enjoy access to all of the fascinating galleries while exploring the Aquarium after dark.

In addition to the ever-changing scenery, there’s plenty to see and do. Listen to a hissing cockroach’s mating call, learn how sharks can reproduce four different ways, and see why diving is sexy in the romance-themed programs.

The head veterinarian, Dr. Martin Haulena, will be giving a special presentation about how animals have sex underwater. Then sit back and prepare your senses for a thrilling show in the 4-D theatre where Great Escapes: Life in 4-D is now playing.

Guests will also be among the first to visit the Aquarium’s new Discover Rays exhibit, which opens on March 10. Featuring an interactive touch pool, Discover Rays gives visitors the rare opportunity to experience first-hand these gentle fishes as they glide beneath the water’s surface, delighting and surprising with their curiosity.
