Car lovers, start your engines.
The Vancouver International Auto Show rolls into town March 23-March 27, and this year’s event promises to be bigger than ever. An estimated 100,000 enthusiasts are expected to turn out for five full days of new, exotic, classic and custom cars – all on display at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
For car buffs, the show offers a chance to get up close and personal with rare and exclusive vehicles, as well as cars being debuted for the first time. Unveilings this year include the the Acura NSX supercar, Lexus’ new LF-SA and BMW’s street-legal M4 GTS, as well as more accessible models like Ford’s 2017 F-150 Raptor pickup and the new Lincoln Continental sedan.

Electric car lovers are also in for a treat. Tesla will be on hand with a larger display than ever of its sexy, green-friendly lineup. Drivers can also sign-up to test drive the latest electric models from major manufacturers right at the event.
This year’s show also sees the return of a crowd favourite: the exotics section. Wander amid a gleaming display of some of the world’s fastest and most expensive sports cars, including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Rolls-Royces, McLarens and Porsches.
Custom car lovers – those connoisseurs of modified hot rods – can also see the province’s best customized supercars, all under one roof. Highlights this year include a jaw-dropping take on the 1989 Batmobile, as well as a tribute to the Aston Martin DB5, complete with James Bond gadgets.

Finally, classic car buffs can take in seven vintage specimens from the renowned Barrett Jackson collection, including a 1961 Corvette, 1954 Chevrolet Belair, 1980 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible and 1955 Chevy Hot Rod pickup truck.
Meanwhile, special presentations and themed “drive-ups” will be taking place throughout the week at Jack Poole Plaza. Catch the Subaru rally team, a display of lifted jeeps and trucks, the hottest “tuned” cars and more.
