This weekend, Hastings Racecourse will be going to the dogs for the annual Wiener Dog Racing Weekend that pits dachshund against dachshund in a no-bones barred race for top dog!
On Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10, you’re invited to cheer on the wiener dogs as they race their heart out to cross the finish line. The races offer a hilarious and surprisingly inspirational event between live horse racing that continues through the day.
The top dog will get a years-worth of bragging rights and the chance to win a share of $2,500, so stakes are high and emotions will run even higher!
The Wiener Dog Races at Hastings Racecourse are a quintessential event of the summer and are a sight that must be seen. You may have never seen a dachshund ever actually run, but those dogs can go fast when money and dignity is on the line!
Admission to the event is 100% free, so it’s a great opportunity to check out the dog races while also having an excuse to get a glimpse of live horse racing. Dogs and horses will be alternating races throughout the weekend, so there will never be a dull moment at the tracks.
