Enjoy 2018 Dine Out Vancouver with special room rates and dine-and-stay packages

A full 17-day schedule of events that provide festivalgoers with unique culinary experiences. Guided dining adventures, brunch crawls, cocktail masterclasses, wine debates, guest chef dinners, BC VQA wine and craft beer tastings, street food markets and more are among the events at the 16th annual edition, Jan. 19-Feb. 4 2018.

For those visiting from out-of-town, or who just want to get away from the kids for a night or two, Dine Out Vancouver is also sponsoring special hotel packages. The Dine Out™ Vancouver Festival features hundreds of restaurants each offering multi-course dinners at $20, $30 or $40 (not including tax, gratuity and beverages). This is an opportunity to choose from almost 300 of the city’s restaurants, from fine dining to family-friendly and everything in between. The list of participating restaurants and menus will be made available to Aeroplan members on Jan. 8, 2018, and Jan. 11 to the general public. (Get a jumpstart on securing a table through advance reservations by signing up for Aeroplan now). Meanwhile, many of the events have already been announced. Here are a few.

Dine Out Grand Tasting (Jan. 19 at the Orpheum Theatre, 601 Smithe St. 7- 9:30 p.m., $68*)—A partnership with The Wines of British Columbia with proceeds benefitting The British Columbia Hospitality Foundation, the Grand Tasting transforms the historic theatre’s two-level lobby into a culinary wonderland of restaurant tasting tables, craft breweries, and over 20 British Columbia wineries.

East Van Craft Brewery and Food Tour (various dates and times, meet at Waterfront Station, 601 West Cordova St.)—Eager to explore the city’s craft beer scene? For the fifth year, Dine Out is partnering with Vancouver Brewery Tours for a tour of East Vancouver’s breweries. Ticketholders will gather at Waterfront Station to be whisked to East Vancouver. There, participants will sample brews as well as the emerging culinary scene happening inside some of these breweries. The $99** package includes transportation (pick up and drop off), guided tours, full flights of beer, and food at the final two stops.

Secret Supper Soirée (Jan. 19, 20, 26,  27, Feb 3; meet at Museum of Vancouver, 1100 Chestnut St.)— Swallow Tail Culinary Adventures present a culinary road trip. Board a private classic 1930s trolley to a secret location for canapés, beverages, and dinner. The event is speakeasy-themed and 1930’s attire is encouraged, dress as fancy as you like.A vegetarian option is available. Please contact Swallow Tail directly to confirm this option. The ticket includes greeting cocktail, wine or beer tastings, canapés, transportation, and a multi-course dinner, taxes, and ticketing fees are included in the final ticket price. Early bird tickets are $123.50 with tax, after Dec. 31 the price is $150.75 with tax.
