STICKY: A Post-It Note Art Show features small but affordable original work this Saturday

A “few” post-its from the 13th annual Post-It Show at Giant Robot 2.

Tiny art, big ideas: STICKY is an art show featuring over a thousand pieces of work by local and international artists on 3×3 inch Post-It notes. Presented by Hot Art Wet City, the show is one night only – tomorrow, Saturday March 30, beginning at 6 p.m. – at The Arts Factory (281 Industrial Ave). Find out more below.

With nearly 140 artists contributing 6-10 pieces each, STICKY promises to be a day-glo feast for the senses. Each piece is priced at $20 (cash only). The show is free to attend.

Organizers say “expect a line-up for the duration of the evening; please be patient, it’ll be worth it!”

You can see a complete list of artists featured on the Facebook event page. According to a story in the Vancouver Courier, patrons can expect to see “portraiture, collages, floral patterns, human-like figures and, of course, cats.”

The show was inspired by the regularly occurring Post-It Show sponsored by Giant Robot Magazine in Los Angeles.  The Vancouver edition is presented by Hot Art Wet City and The Arts Factory, a multi-use arts facility housing artist studios and coworking spaces.
