It’s the news that skiers and riders have been waiting to hear! Grouse Mountain is opening this Saturday to kick off the 2019/20 season with limited terrain starting on Saturday, November 30th at 9am.
Although we haven’t been getting much precipitation these days, the recent cold temperatures have allowed for some excellent snowmaking conditions.
With Whistler opening this past Thursday and Cypress Mountain opening today, it looks like the official ski and snowboard season is now underway!
Grouse Mountain will open Paradise Bown and the Paradise Terrain Park with access via the Greenway Chair. For those keen to get first laps in, skiing and riding will be available from 9am to 10pm starting this weekend.
Because there is only limited terrain available, discounted lift ticket rates will be in effect until more runs are opened.
“We’re excited to welcome skiers and riders back out on the slopes for the start of another winter season at the Peak of Vancouver,” said Grouse Mountain’s Director, Mountain Operations Grant Wahl. “Our snowmaking team has done a fantastic job taking advantage of the recent cold temperatures and with snowfall in the forecast for next week we’ll be working to open up additional terrain as soon as possible.”
You can check out the latest snow and weather conditions for Grouse Mountain using their app – available of iTunes and Google Play. Or you can also visit grousemountain.com or call their Snowphone at 604.986.6262.
