In 2019, Stanley Park Brewing opened their new Restaurant and Brewpub (8901 Stanley Park Drive) on the cusp of the park and just steps away from some of the best beaches and sunset views in the city. Now the company are celebrating one year of park beer with a line-up of exciting events, from SunSetter Yoga to Drag Brunch in partnership with Vancouver Pride. You’ll also get a chance to try their Anniversary Brew – Park Drive Pilsner.
The revitalized heritage building that houses the Restaurant and Brewpub boasts two large outdoor patios, cozy and bright indoor dining rooms, a casual west coast-inspired menu and a rotating selection innovative beers, inspired by Stanley Park itself, and brewed on-site under the leadership of brewmaster Thom Riley.
“It’s been an eventful year to say the least, but we’re excited to be living our dream with this unique, Park inspired beer experience in Stanley Park!”, shared Doug Devlin, General Manager, Stanley Park Brewing Co. “And we’re thrilled that even under the protocols of our new normal, we have a chance to commemorate this milestone with the people who helped us get here. We’re looking forward to celebrating with you!”
While maintaining the appropriate social distancing protocols (find their COVID-19 safety measure here), they have lined up a full week of celebrations with everything from a beer pairing dinner to outdoor sunset yoga, beer gardens to outdoor concerts.
Without further ado, it’s time to let your taste buds wander as you experience one of the most unique brewpub settings in Canada.
Beer Pairing Dinner
Monday, July 27 | 6:30pm – 10:30pm
Hosted by Head Chef Lee Haworth, Chef Nathan Taylor and Brewmaster Thom Riley, enjoy a 4-course meal with the appropriate beer accompaniment, including the anniversary brew – Park Drive Pilsner.
Park Drive Pilsner has been specially brewed to commemorate 1 year of park beer at the new location. The Bohemian-style Pilsner is brewed with classic Czech Saaz hops and Skagit Valley’s Bohemian Pilsner malt. It then spent a month on French Oak to get ready for the occasion. Cheers to many more years of park beer!

Pop-up Backyard Picnic

Birthday Brews & Tunes
Wednesday, July 29 | 7pm – 10pm
The Official 1st-anniversary of brewing beer in Stanley Park, this event celebrates the milestone with a live performance in the exclusive beer garden. For this special occasion, Stanley Park Brewing is bringing back their Brews & Tunes star Brock Phillips, along with his pals Stephen Duncan and Hugh Barbour. Together they’ve crafted a lineup of originals and all-time favourites for you to jam along to, all while taking in the park space around you. Every ticket includes a sleeve of the anniversary brew – Park Drive Pilsner and a chance to win prizes!

Sunsetter Yoga
Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31 | 7pm – 10pm
Join Mat Collective for a 1-hour Hatha Flow on the lawn nestled between the trees & the Brewpub in the park. The practice is designed for all levels, so whether you are new to yoga, or new to a certain style of yoga, you are in the right place! All yogis receive a branded yoga mat and a can of Sunsetter to enjoy after the class. All mats will be placed at least 6 ft apart.

Drag Brunch
