U-Pick Berry Farm Tips

  • Dress for the weather. Berry farms are open rain or shine so pack accordingly. Don’t forget sunscreen and a sunhat for sunny days and a rain jacket and rain boots for wet days.
  • Keep COVID-19 considerations in mind. Right now, you aren’t allowed to bring your own containers or eat berries while you pick. At some farms, you need to book a U-Pick time in advance. Others may require masks. Call ahead or check farm websites for more info.
  • Know what’s in season. Strawberries are usually available in June. Raspberries are ripe in late June and early July. Blackberries and blueberries are ready in July and early August. Call ahead or check farm websites for up-to-date availability.
