Family Days at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is pleased to announce a new series of workshops throughout the summer in partnership with some local businesses and entrepreneurs.

These fun, engaging and hands-on activities will be taking place every Sunday before the Garden opens to the public, from 9:30am to 10:30am.

All Family Day activities will take place preferably in one of our outdoor spaces, taking into consideration not only health and safety protocols but also making sure families are safe and comfortable. Once the activity comes to an end, we invite everyone to explore the Garden before it opens to the public at 11am.

From music to family yoga, making a movie or a Lego workshop, our aim is to welcome families back not only to the Classical Chinese Garden but to Chinatown, a vibrant and historical neighbourhood definitely worth exploring and re-discovering.

The admission ticket includes one parent and one child, and it will grant you a spot in the workshop!

Limited to 10 children per workshop.

About Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a cultural heritage site and registered museum in the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown. The Garden is operated by The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden Society of Vancouver, a non-profit charitable organization, under an agreement with the Vancouver Park Board.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱ w (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) nations.

As an organisation whose mandate is the promotion of cultural sharing and education, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work in this territory, and recognise the continuous need to listen and learn from those who have, and continue to, call Vancouver home.
