Where to Feast on Easter Brunch in Vancouver

With Easter just over two weeks away, many restaurants have dreamed up lovely ways to celebrate with friends and family. Easter brunch has become a tradition for many, involving elaborate spreads, which often include treats from the Easter bunny for kids of all ages.

Here is a selection of establishments in town who are offering a special brunch for Easter.

Oceans 999 Restaurant

If you’re looking for the most sumptuous Easter Sunday Brunch in town, look no further than Oceans 999 Restaurant in the Pan Pacific Vancouver. The event takes place April 9 from 10:30am to 2:30pm ($105 per person, $101 for seniors, $52.50 for children 6-12, and kids 5 and under are free). Options will be seemingly endless, starting with baked goods such as freshly baked hot cross buns, almond croissants, and assorted muffins. Then, there will be a charcuterie and cheese station with selections from Two Rivers, European cold cuts, smoked meats, Golden Ears cheeses, and much more. Cold seafood will include horseradish marinated salmon gravlax, jumbo prawns on ice, and albacore tuna. There will be a host of different salads, ranging from baby spinach with roasted mushrooms; boy choy and apple salad; and golden nugget and sweet potato salad. Beyond that, there will be an omelette station, soups like West Coast seafood boil, and Asian treats such as pork and shrimp dumplings.

But there will be even more! Hot items will range from slow roasted duck breast with orange and lavender honey, cipollini onions, and butternut squash; to baked gnocchi with wild mushrooms and tarragon cream. Breakfast favourites like eggs benny and maplewood smoked sausage will also make an appearance. There will be multiple carvery options such as salmon wellington and harissa spiced leg of lamb, and treats for the kids like mac ‘n’ cheese. H2 Kitchen + Bar promises to offer a joyfully sweet Easter brunch with live bunnies for you to interact with in the lobby from 10:30am to 2:30pm. On April 9, they’re bringing back their Easter brunch ($79 per person, $35 for children 6 to 12, and children 5 and under are free) with seatings from 11:30am to 3pm. The buffet spread will feature all your favourite breakfast items such as brioche French toast, in addition to some delicious hot dishes, such as spinach and ricotta ravioli, grilled Fraser Valley chicken supreme, and Pacific seafood paella. There will be three chef stations, where you can be served Pacific salmon wellington, carved ham, and customized omelettes. Desserts will be Easter-themed and include carrot cake cheesecake and mini cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting. Notch8 at the Hotel Vancouver always does special occasions up in decadent style. This Easter is no different. On April 9 from 10:30am to 3pm, they will be hosting an Easter Brunch Buffet ($79 per adult, $40 per child 12 and under). The salad and charcuterie station will feature favourites like potato salad, Greek salad, and a charcuterie board while the seafood bar will be an impressive selection of items such as Dungeness crab legs, poached prawns, and three types of salmon (smoked, candied, and gravlax). There will be a live egg station for customizing omelettes with ingredients such as ham and spinach, as well as other brunch favourites like chicken sausage, eggs benedict, and crêpes with maple butter. The carving station will feature a slow roasted leg of lamb and maple glazed salmon. Meanwhile, there will be dishes that are kiddie friendly, like grilled chicken breast, pancakes, and pancakes. The pastry team will be pulling out all the stops with desserts like bunny cheesecake pops, warm stick pudding with vanilla anglaise, and a chocolate fountain with fruit and sweet treats for dipping. With gorgeous views of False Creek, Dockside Restaurant on Granville Island is always a great option. They’re offering an Easter Brunch Buffet April 9 ($89 per person), which comes with everything you could possibly want for your midday meal. You can start with continental selections, such as assorted pastries and artisanal bread with fruit preserves, before moving onto the salad bar with options such as Greek salad with Okanagan goat feta and pesto pasta salad. Next, you can graze on cheese and charcuterie selections, like assorted Oyama sausage, smoked cured fish, and local and imported cheeses. All the classic breakfast items will be there, including eggs benny, country breakfast sausage, and lemon chili salted potatoes. Glowbal will make Easter into a decadent affair with their brunch buffet April 9 from 10:30am to 3pm ($75 per person, $30 for kids 12 and under). The cold station will include a cheese and charcuterie plate, yogurt parfaits, and a pastry basket. There will be no shortage of chilled seafood with options such as smoked salmon, jumbo prawn cocktails, tuna tataki, and freshly shucked West Coast oysters. Breakfast selections include brunch poutine, waffles and pancakes, pork banger sausages, and traditional eggs Bennies. Other hot items will be served, such as crunchy chicken wings, spaghetti Bolognese, and rigatoni truffle mushroom alfredo. There will be two chef-attended stations: as-you-like omelettes and carved prime rib striploin. Expect Easter-themed desserts, such as egg nest tarts and mini carrot cakes. ARC Restaurant at The Fairmont Waterfront has developed a loyal following for their bottomless weekend brunches. This Easter weekend (April 7 to April 10, 10:30am to 1:30pm), they’ll be offering an Easter-themed version of their famous bottomless brunch ($99 per person, $59 for children 6-12, and children 5 and under are free). There will be 16 items that you can order, which will include jerk fried chicken with funnel cake and habanero maple syrup, beef short rib poutine, a croque madame, and a smoked salmon eggs benny. Special Easter additions range from hot cross buns with honey butter and jam to lamb shoulder with polenta and gremolata. Those with a sweet tooth will love the Easter Egg-stravaganza Bowl with chocolate bunnies, a macaroon, truffles, and chocolate strawberries. There will also be a Boozy Bunny drink (for an additional charge): a Valhrona hot chocolate with Bailey’s and Kahlua, that comes garnished with mini marshmallows and a chocolate bunny. Botanist will be featuring an elegant three-course ($86) Easter brunch April 8 and 9. You’ll begin with a selection from “Morning Stretch,” which will include hand-cut beef tartare with smoked egg yolk, caper berries, and parmesan—served with sourdough bread; and a burrata salad with fresh legumes, fermented quince, and candied ricotta. The “Main Event” will be hard to choose from, with dishes such as oven roasted prime rib with pomme purée, roasted root vegetables, horseradish cream, and natural jus; and fermented chili torched salmon with mojo de ajo, petit potatoes, and cilantro. There are two “Sweet Ending” options: mango pavlova with whipped coconut cream, crispy meringue, and hoa loc mango sorbet; or milk chocolate hazelnut mousse with dark chocolate fondant, hazelnut financier, and hazelnut and orange semifreddo. Another downtown option for brunch can be found at Mosaic Grille & Bar at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. On April 9, they will be featuring a special Easter brunch buffet ($80 per person, $40 per child). The extensive menu includes multiple stations, like a salad one with asparagus salad, tomato caprese salad, and a mixed greens salad, as well as a charcuterie one with spicy calabrese, truffle salami, prosciutto, and pickles. You will be able to enjoy seafood selections, such as poached prawns, honey mussels, and tuna tataki, as well as hot items ranging from chicken apple sausages to baked salmon. Located in the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront, P2B Bistro & Bar is offering a reasonably priced Easter Brunch Buffet on April 9 from 11am to 2pm ($59 per person, $22 for children 12 and under). In addition to coffee and tea, freshly squeezed juices, there will be an array of food selections to satisfy you and your guests. Start with freshly baked goods, such as Danishes and croissants before enjoying yogurt parfait and fresh fruit. The cold station will include various salads, such as a caprese salad, in addition to other selections like smoked salmon, charcuterie, and local and international cheeses. The hot station will come with breakfast dishes such as buttermilk pancakes with berry sauce and cream, poached and scrambled cage-free eggs, herb roasted potato wedges, and baked beans. Globe@YVR at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport is known for their lavish and delectable buffets. On April 9 from 10am to 2pm ($79 per person, $34.50 per child 6 to 12, children 5 and under free), they’ll be hosting an Easter brunch, which will feature an array of items, including breakfast classics, a live omelette station, OceanWise seafood selections, a carving station, a chocolate station, in addition to other sweet treats. Showcase Restaurant & Bar

Showcase Restaurant & Bar is featuring an à la carte menu for Easter Brunch on April 9 from 10:30am to 2pm. The $35 options all come with your choice of smoothie (good morning sunshine, berry berry, or green machine) as well as fresh fruit and pastries. Dish selections are varied and delicious, including buttermilk fried chicken on toast, a spicy beef burger with pepper jack cheese and mushrooms, and an eggs benny on a chive and cheddar scone with hash browns. From Good Friday until Easter Monday, The Teahouse at Stanley Park will be offering brunch, with special feature items for Easter. The items will be the following: a Teahouse quiche with caramelized onion, gruyere, and wild mushrooms—served with arugula salad; a fresh Dungeness crab cake benny with gratin fingerling potatoes, hollandaise, and arugula salad; and a lobster benny with hollandaise, garlic toast, gratin fingerling potatoes, and arugula salad. Honey Salt in Parq Vancouver will be serving their popular brunch from April 7 to 10. The menu is extensive, with tempting highlights such as a Nova Scotia lobster galette with scrambled eggs, mushrooms, spinach, puff pastry, gruyere, and hollandaise; chocolate hazelnut French toast with nutella and banana caramel; and a backyard brunch burger with bacon, fried egg, and tomato jam. Also at Parq Vancouver, The Victor will be serving brunch on April 9 with all their favourites in addition to a special Easter-themed candy table from 10am to 2:30pm. Indulge in brunch dishes such as Oscar eggs benny with crab cakes, poached eggs, arugula, crispy potatoes, and béarnaise or the Snake River wagyu breakfast burger with a fried egg, thick cut bacon, tomato jam, caramelized onions, taleggio cheese, black truffle dressing, and triple cooked fries.
