See the stars of the LPGA Tour when they come to Vancouver to challenge for the 2023 CPKC Women’s Open at the Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club from August 22-27. The international championship attracts professional golfers from around the world, including past winners Paula Reto (2022), Jin Young Ko (2019), and Brooke Henderson (2018).
This year’s event marks the sixth time British Columbia has hosted Canada’s National Women’s Open Championship golf tournament (founded in 1973), with the last time being in 2015 at the Vancouver Golf Club, where Lydia Ko won her third title.
Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club welcomes 14 LPGA Tour in-year winners, including 2023 Major winners: Lilia Vu (The Chevron Championship), Ruoning Yin (KPMG Women’s PGA Championship), and Allisen Corpuz (US Women’s Open).
The fan-favourite “The Rink” hole spectator experience will return with its energetic hockey-themed hole, complete with fan-pounding rink boards, volunteers dressed as referees, and a surrounding hospitality experience situated on the par-3 17th hole at Shaughnessy.
In the nine years of CPKC’s title sponsorship (originally under Canadian Pacific Railway) of the Women’s Open, more than $16 million has been raised to support children’s heart health for various communities through its CPKC Has Heart program. The 2023 charitable beneficiary of the CPKC Women’s Open will be the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Both Golf Canada and CPKC are committed to offering a fan-friendly, family event that encourages more junior golfers to come. Specially priced youth tickets (ages 13-17) are available, while juniors (12 and under) get free admission to the Women’s Open for the whole week.
General admission tickets start at $20 for early access, with tournament round tickets for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday priced at $50 and final round Sunday tickets at $60. For full tournament info and to purchase tickets, visit the CPKC Women’s Open website.
