21 Vancouver Pumpkin Patches to Visit in Fall 2023

Celebrate autumn by picking out a pumpkin at one of the Vancouver area’s 21 pumpkin patches. Many local farms have also added tons of family-friendly fall activities like hayrides, corn mazes, and petting zoos.

Dress for the Weather: Fall weather can be cold and wet. Since you’ll be outdoors, layer up and include rain gear. And wear boots since farms can be muddy.

Leave Your Dog At Home: Most farms do not allow dogs.

 

Southlands Heritage Farm

Head to a pumpkin patch without leaving the city. Southlands Heritage Farm in South Vancouver has a great pumpkin patch as well as horses, goats, chickens, and fresh veggies for sale.

Richmond Country Farms

Ride a hay wagon out into the fields at this Richmond farm to choose your own pumpkin. Kids will love dancing to music from the resident farm band, “The Country Pumpkins”. There is also an animal viewing area.

Westham Island Herb Farm

Head to Westham Island near Ladner to pick a pumpkin. You can also shop for fresh fall veggies and fruits grown on-site, like apples, squash, and gourds.

Emma Lea Farms

This family farm specializes in U-Pick berries in the summer, and when the leaves start to turn, they open up their pumpkin patch. They have lots of pumpkin varieties to choose from. You can also explore their Oat Maze and grab a hot apple cider to enjoy around the campfire.

Rondriso Farms

This Surrey pumpkin patch has hayrides, cows, and chickens you can visit, and a general store where you can buy fresh produce and beef raised on the farm. If you plan to pick out extra-large pumpkins, they also have wheelbarrows you can borrow.

Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch at Gabriel Farms

This large 20-acre farm in South Surrey has a big pumpkin patch, a mini corn maze, a play area, and farm animals to visit.

Rates: Admission is $10 per person on weekends and $7.50 on weekdays. Kids 2 and under are free. Buy tickets on-site.

Port Kells Nurseries

The pumpkin patch at Port Kells Nurseries in Surrey is a great place to bring the kiddos. In addition to plenty of pumpkins, there is also an outdoor play area, a cedar hedge maze, and goats, pigs, and chickens to visit.

Art’s Nursery

This year Art’s Nursery has a pop-up pumpkin patch along with a fun Scarecrow Stroll. You can wander past over 60 unique scarecrows. They also have scarecrow kits so you can build your own at home. On the weekends you can grab a snack from a food truck.

Aldor Acres Family Farm

This Fort Langley area farm has a big field of pumpkins and lots of animals to visit including pigs, ducks, goats, donkeys, chickens, sheep, bunnies, emus, horses, and cows. They also have a farm market selling fresh produce, honey, preserves, eggs, meat, and snacks.

Eagle Acres Dairy and Pumpkin Patch

Take a hayride, visit some adorable baby farm animals, and of course, visit the pumpkin patch at Eagles Acres. They grow over 25 varieties of pumpkins.

Visit the pumpkin patch at Loft Country Farms but leave some time to explore the farm and visit lots of farm animals including Clydesdale horses, longhorn cattle, sheep, and even emus. They also have a playground, jump pillow and tractor rides.

In addition to berries, Krause Berry Farms also has U-pick pumpkins. While you are there, pick up some goodies from the farm market and bakery or grab a snack at the Waffle Bar.

Taves Family Farms

The home of the famous Apple Barn, Taves Family Farms also has a pumpkin patch and lots of fun family activities like hayrides, a petting barn, a pumpkin house, and a corn maze.

Rates: Weekday rates are $17.95 per person. Weekend rates are $25.95 per person. There is an additional charge of $2 per car for parking on weekends. Kids 2 and under are free.

They grow 50 different varieties of pumpkins at Willow View Farms, so this is the place to go for unique jack-o’-lanterns. Pick out a pumpkin, then head over to the orchard and pick your own apples too. They also have a petting bar, picnic area, and concession stand.

Maan Farms

There’s so much to do at Maan Farms in the fall. They have a pumpkin patch of course. But there’s also a corn maze, play areas, a petting zoo, a pedal-kart track, ziplines, and more.

Location: 790 McKenzie Rd Abbotsford

Rates: Admission to the pumpkin patch only is $13-19. A Fall Farm Pass to the rest of the attractions is $15-23. Prices vary based on the day of the week. Kids 2 and under are free. Book your tickets online in advance.

Bring the kids to Petey’s Pumpkin Patch to enjoy their Family Fun Zone. It includes a pumpkin patch, a mini maze, train rides, and farm animals.

This Maple Ridge pumpkin patch is so popular that it has two locations right across the street from each other. Laity Pumpkin Patch North on 128th Avenue is best for younger kids, while older children will enjoy the South Pumpkin Patch on Laity Street. They both have lots of pumpkins as well as fun family activities like mazes, games, a pumpkin village, farm animals, and even a pumpkin-launching cannon.

Harrison Pumpkin Festival

Visit family-run Onos Farms to enjoy the Harrison Pumpkin Festival. It includes 22 different varieties of pumpkins in tons of colours, sizes, and textures. The farm also boasts incredible flower displays so you can take home cut flowers and bulbs too.
